The main between graphic and digital design function difference is that graphic design is mostly static: logos, magazines, pictures etc… However, digital design involves movement: animations, interactive elements, movies. Moreover, digital design does not only use visual arts, but also includes audio and sound effects.
Another big difference between this two designs is the role of analytics and data. For example, for graphic designers, it is more difficult to track the performance of print materials. In the digital world you have a lot of data that tracks your performance through views, clicks, likes and shares. Digital designers have more data to improve their designs and are able to test their designs with the target group; the a/b test. The which compares the performance of two difference designs.
Further, a difference between graphic design and digital design is that digital design is interactive. Interactive design is more complex than static design, since not only aesthetics play a role but it is also important that it is usable – which is the focus of user experience (UX) design.
A good example of interactive design is the interactive uber sign language.

You will be extremely lucky if you find a job as an artist or designer in the field. So how does the young artist get experience? One of the ways is to become a freelance artist. I believe that this part of an artist”s career will be very difficult. It’s not a surprise, that today Fine Art and Digital Art is a highly competitive market where there is a lot of amazing talented professional digital artists and fine artist.
What can you do if you’re only a young inexperienced student, and you are lost in this huge market? Do not despair! This is where ‘5 Tips For Fine-Artist to Grow Popular’, which I abide by in my artist career, and I continue research other ways to be smash hit in this tall barrier to success.

Important value of your personality must be persistent in your goals. Just keep doing what you like to do, and be creative – with photoshoots or drawings using digital programs. Try to learn different ways to use tools in artistic technics . Practice and practice your work to attain your goals and increase your skills.

Keep your passion style and theme. In my experience – the time it takes to find your unique style is the hardest time of your career, but it is just another step in your future skill craft.

Look at your competitors. Fine Art today is a wide open market. Every artist can find their own unique niche. Follow your beloved artist, study his or her style, technic, medium and color palette. Artist or graphic designer? it is not easy for a young artist to decide what they want to become. The question is what is the difference between an artist and a graphic designer. If you do not have an idea where your passion is, and how to build an artistic career, just start from a drawing. Next, try to develop your artistic skills in a passionate way. Artists create art from feelings and convey a message to the intented audience to find a sympathetic love their idea. It is freedom to realize your creative ideas and impart those feelings upon an audience. Designers use their skills and knowledge to realize communication with their intended audience to touch their emotions and ideas.
So, can you tell the difference? Graphic designers should be able to create visual art from someone else’s ideas; and use their creative vision to embody this idea in the art frame.
If you are ready to become a graphic designer and work for a client, you need to learn how to communicate with your customers and understand their ideas, and have a basic understanding of merchandising. Also you need to be ready to learn about digital programs and their updates. Using new creative digital programs will demand from you new knowledge of how to use the changing digital tools to achieve your desired results.
To sum up, the Digital Designer is more complicated and requires more skill and experience to master the Adobe programs that can help realize a clients ideas. When I started taking design classes and began to learn about the Digital Programs, I was amazed and surprised how much knowledge and understanding I needed to learn to became a Digital Artist.
